This year we added four more vehicles (one for each synod or country), 3 of which became available before the first of the season.  The 4th vehicle, a 13 passenger Landcruiser never was available due to multiple issues with duty and licensing issues in Malawi and Zambia. That was a major disappointment, but did not affect the number of wells installed, only added some extra costs.  This gave us 13 good strong, single cab pickups  to use in installing wells, plus the older double cab truck that was kept around Mzuzu.  Because of good vehicle maintenance and repair done by Steve McKeown before the start of the season, all 13 were virtually always available with no major downtimes.

We did have a significant delay in Tanzania due to some delays in being able to get pumps and parts across the border from Malawi.  With extra effort, we were able to make up for the delays and still get their wells installed.

The best understanding of the impact of the trip can be found in first hand accounts from some of the team members.
