Biography:  Mr. Mavuto is single. He was brought up in the CCAP (Church of Central Africa Presbyterian).   He attended sunday school and was baptized at the age of 15.  During secondary school, he was a member of the Students Christian Organization of Malawi (SCOM). 

He has a BSC degree in Environmental Health from University of Malawi (The Malawi Polytechnic). He was a secondary school teacher from 2007 to 2009.  He joined MMM as a field officer in 2009.

Statement of Faith:

“I am a christian of Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) and I am a baptised and dedicated member of this church.”

Why I work with MMM:

“Because I believe that alleviating community suffering is the basis of developing the community and working with them is the major way of emulating Jesus ways.”
Community Involvement & Personal Achievements as a Field Officer:
What is the impact of the Shallow Well Program?
Water (potable water) is collected within a short walking distance
Water borne diseases have been reduced
Injuries related to drawing water have been reduced
Why is the Shallow Well Program successful?
The program instills the maintenance men/women with skills of building and repairing of the pump.
The community is able to organise, participate and maintain the program since they know it is for their own benfit.
What is the Future of the Shallow Well Program and why is your support so important?

The program will help many community members who are still using unpotable water.  There are many Malawians living in rural areas that need good water.

Support a Field Officer: $12,000/year (this includes salary, fuel, food & lodging while working in the rural areas)
Pray for the Field Officers and the Shallow Well Program.
